About the Position

Location: METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER, Cleveland, Ohio

Biweekly Hours: 80.00

Shift: 8a-5p

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at MetroHealth Medical Center is seeking an additional faculty member for our Division of Gynecologic Oncology.

We seek an individual with an interest in clinical practice, teaching, and research. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and teaching skills, will be Board Certified or a candidate for Certification in Gynecologic Oncology, and eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio. Academic rank within the Department of Reproductive Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Dedicated research time and support is available and will be consistent with the applicant’s research experience and interest. Salary is competitive.

Qualifications

Interest in clinical practice, teaching, and research.

Excellent interpersonal and teaching skills.

Board Certified or candidate for Certification in Gynecologic Oncology.

Eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio.

Academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Service and Teaching

Service includes the full range of operative procedures—minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Faculty are actively involved in the education of MetroHealth’s Ob/Gyn residents and Case Western Reserve University medical students.

Research Opportunities

Opportunities for basic and/or translational research and collaborations exist within MetroHealth Cancer Center’s Cancer Biology program, our Population Health Research Institute, and the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Department has a long history of funded research, including the Eunice Kennedy Shriver NICHD-MFMU and NuMoM2b-HSS2 Research Networks. The Gynecologic Oncology Division is active in the Gynecology Oncology Group and industry-sponsored clinical trials. The Case Western Reserve University CTSA-Clinical Research Unit and Center for Reproductive Health at MetroHealth Medical Center also offer support for clinical and bench research.
