This position serves as a primary point of contact for employee questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, attendance, and HR programs. The HR Representative supports employee relations, workplace investigations, training coordination, compliance activities, and general HR operations while developing the skills necessary to independently manage employee relations matters and investigations.Duration: 6 Months - possible permanent depending on business needs - Starts in August 2026 - February 2027Key Responsibilities:Employee Support & HR OperationsServe as a primary HR contact for employees regarding policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, attendance, and general HR-related questions.Assist employees in understanding and completing HR-related forms and processes.Maintain accurate employee information within HRIS systems.Support daily HR administrative functions and ensure timely completion of HR transactions.Employee RelationsRespond to employee concerns and inquiries in a professional and confidential manner.Assist supervisors and managers with employee relations matters and policy interpretation.Partner with leadership to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.Workplace InvestigationsParticipate in investigations involving policy violations, attendance concerns, workplace conduct, harassment complaints, safety concerns, and employee relations issues.Prepare investigation summaries and recommendations for review by HR leadership.Develop proficiency in conducting independent employee relations investigations.Training & DevelopmentCoordinate employee onboarding and orientation activities.Schedule and track required compliance, safety, operational, and leadership training.Maintain training records and documentation.Support implementation of employee development and training initiatives.Assist in facilitating training sessions and employee communications.Support company initiatives designed to improve employee knowledge, engagement, and performance.Compliance & Administrative SupportAssist with unemployment claim administration and related documentation.Support HR audits and compliance initiatives.Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.Prepare HR reports related to attendance, turnover, training, and workforce metrics.Support employee engagement and communication initiatives.Assist with benefit communications and HR projects.Provide backup support for other HR functions as needed.QualificationsAssociate's in Human Resources, Business Admin/management or related field preferred or a Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources, administrative, employee relations, customer service or related experience preferred.Knowledge of employment law, employee relations, investigations, and HR compliance practices preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.Use of Artificial Intelligence in Employment Decisions StatementCarl Buddig and Company does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to make any employment decisions, including recruiting, hiring, promotion, performance evaluations, discipline, or termination.
