We invite you to bring your bold ideas and big dreams and become part of a global team of over 50,000 planners, designers, engineers, scientists, digital innovators, program and construction managers and other professionals delivering projects that create a positive and tangible impact around the world.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking an experienced construction project manager to support of our growing Higher Education business throughout Northern Virginia.Manage all phases of Construction Management and Inspection (CMI) projects from planning through closeout, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget objectives are achievedProvide technical leadership and guidance on constructability reviews, field engineering challenges, and construction-related issues throughout project executionApply extensive construction management experience to support project owners, field staff, and multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex technical and operational issuesCollaborate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders to support project delivery, resolve technical issues, and ensure effective communication across all phases of the projectExercise independent judgment in resolving technical and project management matters while operating with minimal supervision and broad administrative directionEnsure compliance with contract requirements, applicable regulations, quality standards, and AECOM policies and proceduresQualificationsMinimum Requirements:BA/BS + 4 years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPrevious experience leading higher education construction projects.Demonstrated experience developing cost estimates and construction schedules.Experience leading preconstruction activities including development of quality assurance plans, health and safety plans, and relevant subcontracts.Preferred Qualifications:6 years of progressively responsible experience in construction and project management.Demonstrated recent project and client experience in higher education.Knowledge and experience with local contractors and subcontractors in the Northern Virginia region.To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.Depending on your employment status, AECOM benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, disability benefits, paid time off, leaves of absences, voluntary benefits, perks, flexible work options, well-being resources, employee assistance program, business travel insurance, service recognition awards, retirement savings plan, and employee stock purchase plan.
