Registered Nurse

Job Title: Registered Nurse

Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery

Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours

Must have license in hand Certifications: NRP, C-EFM, BLS Must-Have: Labor and Delivery experience and Postpartum experience

Labor and Delivery 1-2:1, Postpartum 3:1, Gyn/Pedi 3-4:1. Unit staffing includes nurses and unit coordinators, manager, and director. Type of equipment used includes EFM, beds, pumps, etc. Documentation systems in use are Meditech Expanse and CPN Connect. Scheduling requires working 3 twelve-hour shifts. Floating policy involves floating to other units as helping hands, sitters, or in virtual roles. Advanced skills needed include procedures performed on unit such as versions, circumcisions, and C-sections. Dress code consists of unit scrubs provided. Unit guidelines and policies should be reviewed. Doulas and massage therapy are available upon patient request. Patient-centered care focuses on enhancing the patient experience.
