Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to support the design and development of the Midas Rex dissecting tools portfolio, with a strong focus on improving manufacturability through a Closed Loop Control initiative.
This role works closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality teams to optimize product design for production readiness, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Support product design and development using CAD tools and engineering specifications
Perform GD&T analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and drawing updates
Lead and support FMEA (Design & Manufacturing) to identify and reduce risks
Assist with CNC grinding setup, troubleshooting, and process improvements
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transition designs into production
Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and documentation for design control
Must-Have Skills:
Design & Manufacturing FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)
Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and support CAD-based design work
Nice to Have:
Experience with Creo or similar CAD tools
Exposure to CNC grinding or machining processes
Surface modeling experience
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or equivalent)
0–4+ years of relevant experience in medical device/product development
Strong collaboration and problem-solving skills
