Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist!
Job Description:

• Shift: 12-Hour Nights (1845-0715)
• Start Date: Fixed, not flexible
• Radius Rule: 100-mile radius

- Patient Load:

• 5-6 ventilators
• 35 treatments in 12 hours

- Certifications Required:

- BLS

- ACLS

- PALS

• If NICU experience, must also have NRP
• License Required: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in AZ (CRT not accepted)

- Patient Types:

• Adults
• Pediatrics
• Neonates (if NICU trained)

- Responsibilities:

• Attend all deliveries and c-sections
• Draw and analyze ABGs
• Ventilator settings and treatments
• Experience: Minimum 2 years; first-time travelers welcome

- Work Environment:

• Cover inpatient areas and Foothills ER (freestanding, 15 min drive away)
• May float between units

- Support Structure:

• Intensivist on-site 24/7
• Charge RRT on each shift
• Travelers will not be the only RT in the hospital; may be alone in Foothills ED

- Equipment Utilized:

• Vent-Avea
• Hamilton C1
• Bipap-V60

- EV300

• HiFlow-Aerovo 2
• Zoll vents for backup
• Glidescope and Glidescope-GO for intubation

- Scheduling:

• Shifts: 6a/6p
• No guaranteed block schedule, but accommodations may be made
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Travelers will work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Call Requirement: Possible placement on "low census"

- Orientation:

• One day for NEO
• One day for ED
• One day for ICU
• One day for floor (NICU if applicable)
• Dress Code: Black scrubs
• Cancellation Policy: Client may cancel hours equivalent to weekly guaranteed hours for the assignment.
