Our client is seeking a Supplier Mechanical Engineer to support the sourcing, purchasing, and management of critical components and materials for advanced nuclear energy projects. This role will support the Engineering team with supplier research, vendor outreach, contract tracking, purchase order processing, and record keeping. This role will sit at the intersection between engineering and procurement.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Support supplier research and selection by identifying potential vendors and evaluating their alignment with our clients quality and reliability standards
Assist in managing supplier contracts, tracking key dates, monitoring compliance, and helping to resolve issues as needed
Coordinate closely with engineering, R&D, and finance teams to understand procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Prior internship or part-time experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain is preferred
Exposure to procurement software platforms or tools is preferred
