Job Description:

• Position: MedSurg Nurse
• Shift: 12H Nights (7p-7a), Every Other Weekend
• Unit: 2W MedSurg
• Bed Capacity: 55 beds

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team
• Float between MedSurg units as required
• Utilize Cerner for efficient charting and patient management
• Monitor telemetry patients and interpret EKG strips

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3-4 years of MedSurg nursing experience preferred
• Certification: BLS Certification required
• Technical Skills: Must have Cerner experience
• Attitude: Strong, humble, and positive demeanor essential
• Patient Ratios: 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Orientation: 2 shifts of floor-specific orientation provided

Additional Information:

• Nurse Aides: PCT support available (1-3 depending on patient census)
• Charge Nurse: Yes, charge nurse on unit (does not take patients)
• IV Team and Pharmacy: Available 24/7 for support
• Weekend Rotation: Required every other weekend
• Floating: Required, with established 'home base' unit
