Registered Nurse- PCU Nights

Registered Nurse - Night Shift IMC

This is a 13-week contract position.

7 PM to 7 AM

The competent Nurse, in a clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of each situation. This role involves providing routine and complex care, managing contingencies of clinical nursing, and making appropriate assignments to other care providers.

Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.

Administers medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.

Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.

Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in the related nursing specialty.

BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA only).

NIH certification required.

RN License in the state of Texas or compact state.
