PERIOPERATIVE REGISTERED NURSE - FULL TIME POSITION

Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic, is looking for an RN to join our nursing team in our Operating Room!

Full Time

Shift

Day Shift: 7am - 3pm, 8am - 4:30pm, and 9am - 5pm

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of patient care. The professional nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation of patient care to other members of the healthcare team.

Perioperative Nursing Skills

Assist scrub nurse; Prepare OR: supplies, equipment, sterile packs, medications

troubleshoot and operate unit-specific equipment

Handle specimens, implants, and instruments per policy

Provide patient/family support in high-stress settings; post-mortem care

Use and update surgeon preference cards; maintain OR stock

Communicate with charge RN; act as resource for surgical team

Assist anesthesia with intubations

ASN Required, BSN Preferred, from an accredited school of nursing

Current DE or Compact State RN License required

2 years perioperative nursing experience preferred or Successful completion of a perioperative nursing course including didactic and clinical rotations
