Registered Nurse (RN) - Special Care Nursery Level 2
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in a Special Care Nursery Level 2. This position requires a strong background in neonatal care, with a focus on both full-term and pre-term infants.
Position Information

Department: Special Care Level 2 Nursery
Number of Openings: 2
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Shifts: 2 weekend shifts per month
Unit Information

Number of Beds: 8 bed special care nursery
Patient Ratios: 1:2-1:3
Electronics: EHR: Meditech/GE Centricity
Supervisor: Elizabeth Garland
Patient Population
This position will involve care for neonates, including full-term, early term, and pre-term infants.
Qualifications

Required Certifications: NRP, STABLE, BLS
Experience: 2 years in a Level 2 nursery or higher
Preferred Skills: Experience attending all deliveries and initiating NRP resuscitation
Common Diagnoses and Treatments

Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS)
Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS)
Transient Tachypnea of the Newborn (TTN)
IV antibiotics
Bubble CPAP
OG/NG feeds
Dress Code
Scrub Color: Royal Blue / Hospital issued OR scrubs. Please note that hoodies and sweatshirts are not permitted.
