This shift is 7p-7a, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday

To maintain equipment used to produce Steelscape's world-class steel products using preventative maintenance and troubleshooting abilities in AC/DC electrical, PLC and instrumentation with minimal guidance, while specializing in pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.

Locates source of trouble in any type of mechanical equipment or apparatus by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for mechanical failure. Dismantles, inspects, repairs, replaces or adjusts faulty parts on mechanical equipment including but not limited to gears, reducers, pulleys, belts, sprockets, chains, bearings, shafts, and cables. Rebuild and restore mechanical components including draining, flushing, and filling lubrication, and bench testing equipment prior to installation or placement in storeroom. Obtains working knowledge necessary for troubleshooting and servicing all mechanical equipment associated with the facility. Fabricates parts, as required, using shop machines and hand tools. Safely operate construction equipment such as forklifts, carts, overhead cranes, etc. Drive to achieve 'Level 1' Mechanical Qualifications within 90 days of hire, 'Level 2' within 1 year of hire, Level 3' within 2 years of hire, and 'Level 4' within 4 years of hire. Electrical qualifications are not required but achieving 'Level 2' will greatly contribute to success in this role. Log work performed, hours worked, and parts used for all maintenance work into SAP.

Make electrical repairs to equipment being serviced, including the replacement, repair and installation of fuses, switches, lights, motors, etc. Completion of Planned and Preventative Maintenance work assigned by the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to strive for 95% Compliance. Assist in maintaining operational readiness and cleanliness of all shop equipment. Assist in the general housekeeping and organization of the parts storeroom.

Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred education as a Certified Millwright or equivalent training / degree from a technical vocational institution. Required two years of experience in Maintenance on a continuous metal processing line with equipment like a galvanizing or paint coating line with preferred experience as a Millwright.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, hydraulic / pneumatic schematics, fabrication specifications and drawings.

Ability to solve complex problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Must possess basic knowledge in process computer-controlled equipment and plant maintenance knowledge in mechanical components and theory, combustion, steam and heat.

Salary Range: The estimated hourly rate of pay for this position is $44.31 per hour. This role is eligible for a 401(k) savings plan, comprehensive healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), and other generous rewards.
