Job Details

Pharmacist position at Sumner Regional Medical Center providing quality health care to Gallatin, Hendersonville and surrounding areas.

Facility is a 167-bed healthcare facility with Level III Trauma Center status.

Role involves working in the Pharmacy department with responsibilities including sterile compounding, renal dosing, and use of Meditech and Omnicell systems.

Patient population primarily adult/geriatric with minimal pediatric patients from ED.

Position requires ability to work independently and professionally.

Job Requirements

Doctor of Pharmacy degree required.

Pharmacist license (LP) required.

3-5+ years of experience preferred, with minimum 1+ years in specialty.

Must have skills/experience with Meditech, Omnicell, sterile compounding, renal dosing, and independence.

State specific check: Tennessee Abuse Registry clearance required prior to assignment start date.

Schedule Information

Nights shift: 7 days on, 7 days off, 9 PM to 7 AM.

35 average hours per week (70 hours per 2 week pay period).

20 weekend hours every other weekend.

No call requirements.

Unit Specific Information

Unit: Pharmacy department at Highpoint Health – Sumner with Ascension Saint Thomas.

Number of openings: 1.

Weekly guaranteed hours: 35 average.

No float requirements.

Equipment used includes Omnicell.

EHR system: Meditech Magic.

Supervisor: Director of Pharmacy.

Patient population: Adult/geriatric with minimal pediatric patients from ED.

Dress code: Business casual or scrubs; no casual wear or other facility branded attire.

Additional Details

Orientation is weekly on Mondays.

Local rate applies for candidates within 60 miles; travel candidates must be 60 miles or greater.

Facility employs more than 1,000 employees and 300 physicians.

Fully accredited by The Joint Commission and governed by a local board of trustees.
