Surgical Medical Assistant – Surgical
Schedule: 5x8 hr days, 08:00–16:30, Mon–Fri
Assignment Details:

~ Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

Minimum 6 months experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient setting
MA-C preferred; MA-R will be considered
Required certification: BLS
Experience with EPIC charting preferred (not required)
Roles & Responsibilities:

Room patients and record vitals, including pulse oximetry
Document patient history, medications, and allergies
Set up aseptic/sterile trays and operate autoclave
Assist with minor procedures and wound care, including performing biopsies and labeling specimens
Conduct telephone triage, follow-up calls, and handle pharmacy refill requests and authorization forms
Compliance / Notes:

Reliable personal transportation required
COVID-19 vaccine not required
