Compensation Range
Annual Salary: $65,000.00 - $125,000.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies). This role is eligible for additional compensation through a performance-based incentive plan that corresponds to meeting performance goals.

About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to develop, retain, and expand client relationships by enhancing current distribution channels and developing new opportunities. The position is responsible for prospecting and developing new leads and sales opportunities as well as following up on leads generated through various referrals and marketing programs.

Essential Functions

Develop strategic alliances with third party broker/dealers, administrators, correspondent banks, and other potential delivery channels to increase exposure of Commerce Funds.

Provide sales support for Commerce Investment Advisors, Commerce Trust Company (CTC), and Commerce Funds.

Research new opportunities for distribution of Commerce Funds.

Provide wholesaling support to third party distribution channels.

Assist in new product development.

Manage customer service requests from existing relationships.

Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Strong negotiation skills.

Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values.

Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

3+ years mutual funds wholesaling experience preferred.

FINRA Series 6 and 63 required.

FINRA Series 7 preferred.

This compensation range is for the Commerce Mutual Funds Wholesaler job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $65,000 to $125,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
