Labor and Delivery
Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays

This role involves overseeing women's services, managing workflow, and utilizing nursing resources effectively.
Gather and assess relevant health data to create and implement personalized care plans aimed at achieving measurable outcomes for women and newborns, focusing on family-centered care.
Facilitate care delivery that emphasizes woman-, newborn-, and family-centered approaches within your practice scope, employing health education strategies to promote a safe environment.
Monitor progress towards expected outcomes in the context of family-centered care.
Make ethical decisions on behalf of women, fetuses, and newborns, guided by a robust ethical framework and principles of cultural diversity and inclusion.
Engage in communication and collaboration with women, families, healthcare providers, and the community to ensure safe and holistic care.
Act as a role model, change agent, consultant, and mentor for women, families, healthcare consumers, and fellow professionals, maintaining knowledge of current evidence-based practices.
Utilize evidence to identify, assess, and validate various approaches to care for women and newborns, implementing improvements as necessary.
Reflect on personal nursing practice and contribute to the evaluation of peers, considering safety, effectiveness, and resource management in care delivery.
Ensure environmentally safe practices in all aspects of care for women, newborns, and families.
Apply evidence-based practices and scientific knowledge to nursing care, ensuring it meets the specific needs of patients as outlined in departmental guidelines.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent educational background for licensing.

No prior experience is necessary.

Regular sitting, reaching, and data entry.
Frequent visual acuity for near and far distances, including color differentiation.
Frequent auditory skills for communication and monitoring equipment.
Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration or a Compact State
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), or
