Registered Nurse (RN), PRN
This is not just another nursing position. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who understands that behavioral health care requires more than routine treatment-it demands presence, resilience, and the ability to respond when patients are at their most vulnerable. The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in an inpatient psychiatric environment. You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, respond to urgent medical needs, and guide care through clinical judgment and collaboration.
This role is central to the treatment team-ensuring care plans are executed effectively, documentation is accurate, and patients receive consistent, safe, and therapeutic support. You will also play a key role in fostering an environment built on respect, safety, and inclusion.
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Kansas
Valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance

Experience in behavioral health settings

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing reassessments
Administer medications using barcode scanning and monitor medication administration records
Collect, document, and communicate patient data in the electronic health record (EHR)
Provide first aid and appropriate clinical interventions within scope of practice
Conduct admission and walk-in assessments as needed
Assist with discharge planning and review discharge instructions
Support patients with activities of daily living including hygiene, nutrition, and mobility
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and care plan adjustments
Lead or support hygiene and psychoeducational groups
Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and all regulatory requirements
Maintain timely, accurate documentation before the end of each shift
Communicate effectively with guardians, providers, and care teams
You lead with clinical confidence and emotional intelligence
