Operations ManagerYour leadership, operational discipline, and ability to drive results make you a great fit for our Operations Manager position. Shift: 4th shift - Friday-Sunday 6pm-6:30amPay Range: $90-95k/yr with 20% bonus targetAbout Your Role:As an Operations Manager at one of Dollar Tree's Distribution Centers, you'll partner with other leaders to oversee safe, clean, and efficient receiving, order filling, and shipping operations in a high-volume, multi-shift environment. You'll ensure work is performed according to SOPs while meeting productivity and quality goals and reinforcing Dollar Tree's culture of safety, sanitation, and customer service. Distribution Center Operations:Coordinate and manage the filling of store orders, order selection, trailer loading, and related documentationMonitor loads to ensure merchandise is loaded according to quality and stability standardsCoordinate and manage the flow of order selection functions from primary pick locations through outbound trailer closeAssist in coordinating replenishment cycles to ensure timely restocking of primary pick locationsEstablish and monitor daily selecting and loading schedules to ensure adherence and proper resource utilizationInbound Operations:Manage and coordinate the receipt, unloading, and checking of merchandiseMonitor inbound loads to ensure unloading priorities are followedCoordinate the flow of reserve inventory from receiving docks to reserve locationsMonitor reserve areas to ensure orderly and accurate storage of merchandiseEstablish and monitor daily receiving schedules to meet operational priorities and cost controlsPerformance, Safety & Quality:Monitor and manage key productivity indicators including safety, financial, productivity, service, and people metricsEnsure accuracy, housekeeping, damage reduction, and safety through enforcement of company standardsFoster a culture of safety, sanitation, integrity, and customer serviceLeadership & Administration:Manage the development, implementation, and administration of operational policies, programs, and systems across all shiftsEstablish methods and procedures for departmental work activities and resolve operational issuesPartner with Human Resources on hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, and developing associatesCarry out coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions, and employment recommendations as appropriateShare information and anticipate communication needs of distribution center associatesPrepare operational statistics and reports for assigned functional areasJudgment & Continuous Improvement:Perform work with minimal direction, exercising independent judgment and decision-makingEvaluate current processes, methods, and SOPs and recommend continuous improvement initiativesYour Required Skills and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of five (5) years of distribution center management or operations experience, or equivalentGood working knowledge of distribution center practices and proceduresStrong leadership, administrative, organizational, managerial, and communication skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and implement solutionsAbility to make independent decisions, solve problems, and accept accountabilityProficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as AS400Flexibility to work various shifts based on business needsPreferred Requirements:Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related fieldOur success is a team effort — when we reach our goals, you'll be eligible for a yearly bonus!In addition to medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision insurance, we offer:Employee Assistance ProgramRetirement plans with matching contributionEmployee Stock Purchase ProgramEducational AssistanceAccess to PerkSpot, an employee discount platform for goods and servicesAnd much more!Who We Are:At Dollar Tree, we make a difference in the lives of our customers every day by exceeding their expectations and delivering value - it's what our business is built on.
