School Maintenance Person

Maintenance AssistantOak Hills Living Center is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. This position plays a key role in ensuring our facility, equipment, and grounds are well-maintained and operating efficiently.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical workInspect, test, and maintain equipment to ensure proper operationMaintain heating and cooling systems in accordance with guidelinesComplete work orders and document maintenance activitiesMaintain sidewalks, parking areas, and outdoor grounds (mowing, trimming, snow/ice removal as needed)Ensure safe and hazard-free conditions throughout the facilityClean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areasFollow all safety procedures, infection control standards, and facility policiesUse proper lockout/tagout procedures when necessaryReport unsafe conditions or equipment issues promptlyAssist vendors, contractors, and inspectors as neededHelp move equipment and supplies safelyParticipate in trainings, meetings, and quality improvement activitiesProvide support and training to new team membersComplete maintenance tasks with consideration for resident comfort and dignityCoordinate work to minimize disruption to residents' daily routinesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious maintenance experience is helpful but not required – we will train the right candidateBasic knowledge of maintenance tools and repair techniques preferredAbility to follow instructions and work independentlyStrong communication and teamwork skillsShift Requirements40 hours per weekMonday-Friday with on call rotationWhy Join Oak Hills Living Center?Supportive, team-oriented environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful impact in residents' livesOn-the-job training and growth opportunitiesCompetitive salary and benefits package: Medical/Dental/Life insurance, 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays
