Carpenter Helper - Construction

GPJ is hiring a Carpenter Helper to join our growing team.

This role is on‑site, requiring you to report to our Las Vegas location a minimum of 5 days per week.

As a Carpentry Helper, you’ll embark on a hands‑on learning journey, assisting in the construction, repair, and installation of various structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, metals, and other materials. This role is crucial for developing foundational carpentry skills and understanding the construction process.

Learn to interpret blueprints and construction plans, ensuring projects meet specifications.

Assist with measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials according to precise requirements.

Help install structures.

Support the inspection and repair of damaged structures or fixtures, and assist in maintaining existing woodwork.

Collaborate with other functions, learning the importance of teamwork in project completion.

Even with tight project budget management practices, you focus on the desired outcome and are ready with multiple solutions in order to reach the end goal.

You can spot when details were overlooked, and take the initiative to complete the project, following up to ensure agreements / commitments are on track or have been fulfilled. You demonstrate adaptability and agility when making on‑the‑spot decisions never sacrificing quality or work interactions. For the sake of time, you are able to eliminate unnecessary steps and use network resources to aid in project completion.

You constantly challenge yourself to come up with ideas that are on strategy, innovative, and transformative, and authentic to the client’s brand.

Minimum 1‑2 years of industry related carpentry/fabrication experience.

As a Carpentry Helper, your commitment to learning and attention to detail will directly contribute to the successful completion of construction projects. Under the guidance of experienced carpenters, your developing ability to assist in constructing and installing high‑quality structures and fixtures will help enhance the aesthetic appeal, functionality, and durability of buildings.
