Accounting and Payroll Bookkeeper

Accurant LLC is a progressive, expanding, full-service accounting and tax firm with multiple locations throughout the Midwest. We’re looking for an experienced full-charge bookkeeper to work out of our Austin, MN location. Responsibilities Main contact for your clients
Maintain records of financial transactions
Record transactions in the proper general ledger accounts
Bank and other account reconciliations
Review account records for accuracy
Prepare financial statements including Balance Sheet and P&L
Payroll
Some administrative work including sharing phone duties
Qualifications At least two years of bookkeeping experience
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting methods, including double-entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting and cash accounting
Ability to use spreadsheets and accounting software to produce key financial reports
Understanding of basic tax liabilities, including payroll and sales tax
Desire to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication & interpersonal skills, displaying the ability to connect & build relationships with clients, firm leadership and peers
Experience with QuickBooks, TaxDome, Excel & Microsoft Office a plus
