Pre-School Elementary Teacher

Destiny Christian School, a Christ-centered school committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and character development, seeks a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team. The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for nurturing and educating students in the early grades (Kindergarten -2nd Grade), creating a learning environment that promotes academic achievement, spiritual formation, and strong character development through Biblical teachings.
Instructional Leadership

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons across all core subjects (e.g., Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies) in alignment with the school’s academic standards.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages active learning, critical thinking, creativity, and curiosity.
• Implement differentiated instruction strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students in the classroom.
• Regularly assess student progress through informal and formal evaluations, and adjust instruction to ensure student success.

Classroom Management

• Establish and maintain a structured and respectful classroom environment that promotes positive behavior, responsibility, and mutual respect.
• Set clear expectations for student behavior, use appropriate discipline strategies, and provide consistent encouragement and praise for student growth.
• Address students' academic, social, and emotional needs with a focus on fostering self-esteem and positive relationships.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work closely with other teachers, staff, and administrators to create a cohesive learning environment that supports the school’s mission and values.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, classroom activities, and any concerns.
• Participate in school-wide activities, parent-teacher conferences, and events that support community building.

Professional Development

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training to continue growing as an educator and to stay current with educational best practices.
• Engage in regular reflection and self-evaluation to improve teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and grades per school policies.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in advance to ensure a smooth and effective learning experience.

• Contribute to the development and review of the school’s curriculum, with a focus on integrating Biblical teachings and Christian worldviews.
