Role Overview The Staff Nurse provides specialized nursing care grounded in biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
They assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct family-centered care for individuals or groups within their scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities Deliver patient-centered care across age groups, addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
Demonstrate leadership, mentorship, and professional duties, including precepting new staff.
Engage in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and evidence-based practices.
Support provider collaboration, promote efficient operations, and ensure excellent customer service.
Utilize informatics and technology systems, and adapt to temporary assignments across different units as needed.
Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or obtaining within 5 years), RN licensure in Ohio, and Basic Life Support certification.
Minimum of one year of healthcare experience preferred.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with ability to work under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical records (preferred).
