Job Description Applies the principles of secure software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing and evaluation of software and cloud infrastructure. Works cross functionally to understand business requirements, architecture and technology direction, evaluate alternative approaches and ensure software and systems are designed accordingly. Incorporates state-of-the-art concepts and practices to facilitate system functionality, scalability, resilience and security as well as ease-of-use (developer / user experience). Applies agile principles to software development with a focus on delivery of business value, collaboration, continuous improvement and sustainability. Serves as a participating member on teams tasked to develop, improve and deliver product / system elements and features. Breaks down functional and business requirements into tangible, clear and estimable objectives, providing recommendations to management and project team members. Ensures quality, performance and adherence to specifications of assigned development tasks and adjacent technology solutions. Helps define and support implementation of coding standards. Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 4 years’ experience in a related field; D. and 1 years’ experience in a related field; or 12 years’ experience in a related field with no degree. Skilled in analytical thinking, requirements analysis, software installation and support, system and technology integration, and technical troubleshooting. Skilled in building partnerships, challenging personal limitations, driving innovation, focusing on execution and striving for excellence.
