Welder/ Metallurgy Tech

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a (CSSNA) Welder with our power technology client in Henderson, CO. This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.
W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. Setting up MIG/MP welding machine
GMAW/FCAW welding (MIG and Flux-Core) Mild Steel
Set-up, operate or tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines.

Basic knowledge of welding processes, such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and resistance welding.
Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion or expansion of material.
Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry, and welding techniques.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, straightening presses, and hand tools.

Mig Welding experience
# This role requires some Mig welding experience. Some flux core welding experience is good to have as well. The candidate will need to have measuring, cutting, grinding, and tool experience. Some overhead crane and scissor lift experience is a plus. 50% of the role will be welding.
