You’ll work closely with Programme Management, Buyers and suppliers to balance cost, quality, delivery and long-term supply chain performance.Delivering a programme-ready supply chain to support repeat purchasing and ongoing programme requirements.Partnering with Programme Management to build early awareness of new programmes and future supply chain requirements.Leading supplier selection and approval in line with purchasing and commodity strategies.Ensuring programme purchasing activity remains within agreed budgets and cost targets.Working closely with Buyers to improve supplier on-time delivery (OTD), on-quality delivery (OQD) and cost performance.Interpreting and implementing supply chain strategies and category plans.Building effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify risks and resolve issues.Contributing to departmental improvement projects that enhance the effectiveness of our Purchasing function.What You’ll BringWe’re looking for someone who understands that great procurement is about more than placing orders. You’ll be commercially aware, comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and able to turn supply chain strategy into action.Previous experience within a Supply Chain, Procurement or Purchasing environment.Experience delivering a high-quality service within a fast-paced procurement environment.A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.Experience using Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems, such as SAP or similar.The ability to interpret and implement supply chain strategies and category plans.You won’t simply be buying parts and services.
