Firefighter/EMT, Full-time and Part-time

Firefighter EMT Position

Wakulla County Fire Rescue has immediate need of full-time and flex/part-time Firefighter EMTs. This position works under the supervision of the on-duty Captain to provide fire and rescue services including emergency response, basic prehospital life support, patient care and transport, rescue and extrication, structure and wildland fire suppression. Duties include the operation and maintenance of fire and rescue apparatus and equipment. Qualified applicants will possess and maintain the following training, certifications, and abilities:

High School diploma or acceptable equivalent

Valid Florida Driver's License

State of Florida Emergency Medical Technician Certification

Basic Life Support Provider certification

Florida Firefighter II Certification

Certificate of completion of an approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC)

Certificates of completion of FEMA IS-00100, IS-00200, IS-00700, IS-00800 Courses

Ability to pass FBI Background Check

Ability to pass pre-employment firefighter physical and drug screening.

Flex/Part Time: Minimum starting pay is $17.00/hour. Must provide a minimum availability to work of four (4) 24- hour shifts per month.
