Phlebotomist - Testing/Vaccinations

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to join our team in Shreveport, LA.

Work Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm with a 1‑hour lunch

Thursday: 9:00am – 6:00pm with a 1‑hour lunch

Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic purposes.

Enter patient data accurately and in a timely manner.

Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

Maintain patient and specimen information logs.

Provide superior customer service to all patients.

Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.

Travel to additional sites when required.

Comply with COVID‑19 vaccination policies: all prospective hires must provide proof of full vaccination or qualify for medical or religious accommodations.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or a minimum of 3 months’ experience as a phlebotomist.

Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Reliable transportation and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.

Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training must come from an accredited agency.

Proven record of exceptional customer service.

Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, providing a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
