Status: Full-Time (6 openings)
Flushing Hospital Medical Center is seeking Board-eligible or Board-certified Inpatient Psychiatrists to join our comprehensive behavioral health program in Queens, NY.
Our inpatient services include an 18-bed psychiatric unit, a 30-bed medically managed detox unit (the only one in Queens), and outpatient and community-based programs. You will provide high-quality psychiatric care, participate in resident and medical student education, and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
Handle acute psychiatric crises, including psychosis and suicidal ideation
Collaborate with social workers, nurses, and therapists to ensure comprehensive care
Participate in teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students
Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited psychiatry residency program
Board Certification in Psychiatry (ABPN) preferred
Valid New York State medical license (or eligibility)
Experience in inpatient psychiatry preferred
