Position Title: Electronics Engineer
Location: Irvine, CA
Work Arrangement: On-site
Position Summary:
DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Electronics Engineer who will be a hands-on contributor across the full lifecycle of DZYNE's aircraft and launcher electrical systems. In this role, the engineer will perform circuit and subsystem design, system integration, troubleshooting, harness design, avionics/electronic system testing, and data analysis. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.
Required Duties and Responsibilities:

Participate in full PCB design cycle involving schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, functional verification, and performance tests
Design, develop, integrate, and debug avionics systems/subsystems
Define wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle
Support design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements
Conduct peer-level and cross-discipline design reviews
Work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to support new product development and active deployments in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate and encourage adherence to best practices and standard procedures
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Minimum 3 to 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Demonstrated capability in circuit board design, bring-up, and validation
Proven experience in designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of Analog/Mixed-signal and Digital circuits/components
Competence with common test equipment, and CAD tools such as Altium
Proven communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Experience in designing electronics for robotic and/or aircraft systems
Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, and firmware/software integration
UAV experience highly desirable
Experience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast-paced R&D environment
Familiarity with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing
Education:
~ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Must have the ability to stop, stand, climb, occasionally lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
Involves movement between departments, floors, and worksites to facilitate work.

This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). As a result, employment is contingent upon meeting applicable export control eligibility requirements and compliance obligations.
Work Authorization Requirement:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.
Salary: $100,000 - $149,000 annually
Salary depends on relevant work experience, education, training, essential skills, and/or other factors such as specialized or high-demand professions. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible for an annual bonus. The pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of salary or annual bonus.
