RRT - Respiratory - - Night shift

Job Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our team in the NICU department. This position requires a commitment to work specific holiday shifts, including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day, to qualify for holiday pay. Please note that candidates must be located outside a 100-mile radius of the facility.

Shift Details

Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Weekend Requirements: Weekends required as needed by the unit, with a maximum of three consecutive weekends to accommodate unit needs.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in NICU and/or Pediatric Critical Care. Certifications Required: New Mexico Respiratory Care License Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Special Skills: Must be proficient in endotracheal tube management, suctioning, extubation, nasal airway placement, and arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation. Floating Requirements: Ability to float to the RRT Adult unit as needed.

This facility is a Level I Trauma, Teaching Children's Hospital with a total of 554 staffed beds. It operates as a short-term acute care facility, equipped with advanced technology and a focus on providing high-quality care.
