The Warehouse Assistant is a hands-on, physically active role responsible for preparing, organizing, repairing, wrapping, and moving furniture, props, and event equipment for storage and delivery. If you're dependable, safety-minded, and take pride in quality work, you'll play an important role in helping our team create exceptional events. The Warehouse Technician reports to the Warehouse Manager and may also receive direction from the Warehouse Assistant Manager and Warehouse Lead.

Safety-minded
Learns inventory and pull sheets to successfully fill event orders.
Prepares props and furniture for events to include but not limited to: wrapping fabric and vinyl, drilling holes, nailing, hammering, hand and spray painting, polishing, cleaning and staining.
Wraps furniture and props for delivery; unwraps inventory as needed.
Warehouse Assistant levels 2 and 3 perform increasingly more complex and detailed prop and warehouse work and require less supervision.
Completes all safety training as directed and within established timelines.
Completes all Human Resources and Payroll tasks and notifications through the Employee Self Service Online Portal on a weekly basis, as directed and within established timelines.
Ability to understand, read and speak simple English.
Good verbal communication skills to communicate successfully with the Warehouse team.
Familiarity with proper packing methods is helpful.
Must be able to provide the following tools for use during the work shift: wire cutter and utility knife.
Good knowledge and ability to use tools and equipment that may include: hammer, screwdriver, hand drill, tape measure, dollies, and 8 foot and 12 foot ladders.
Ability to work flexible schedules to include evenings and weekends.
Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and reach during entire work shift.
Able to walk 30% of the work shift.
Ability to work with hands and arms during entire shift.

Hourly wage: $18.00 to $22.00 based on experience.
Overtime pay will be provided for hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek at 1.5x the regular rate of pay, in compliance with Illinois labor laws.
