Summary The Carpenter Foreman I provides direction and supervision to assigned crew, determines when to delegate or perform work, and is fully competent in all facets of construction, erecting, stripping, and/or repairing steel, wood, or plywood structures using hand and power tools in accordance with construction documents.
Roles and Responsibilities The Carpenter Foreman I must be competent to perform tasks safely, productively, and effectively. Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
Provides Direction to Assigned Crew
Installs Footing Forms
Builds and Installs Wall and Column Forms
Builds and Installs Structural Deck Forms
Sets Slab-on-Grade Forms
Preps and Sets Tilt-up/Precast Forms
Works with Building Layout
Ensures a Safe Work Environment
Participates in Training/Certifications
Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of related experience and/or training, including reading and interpreting construction documents.
2 years of formwork experience, especially on framing and forming walls using Doka, Peri, or Simmons systems.
Must pass a background check.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
