This is a 13-week contract position.
Job Description
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) performs work in one or more divisions or areas of the clinical laboratory to obtain data for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The technician is responsible for planning, directing, and ensuring accurate laboratory testing for both inpatients and outpatients in accordance with established laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Perform laboratory tests and analyses as required.
Ensure compliance with lab policies and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities and results.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Demonstrate critical thinking, judgment, and leadership within laboratory practices.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Preferred: Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP/AMT) certification.
Associates degree in laboratory science or equivalent education and training.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
