Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse-Surgery

SpineSearch is partnering with a leading academic medical center in New York City to identify an experienced Registered Nurse for an outpatient Neurosurgery practice. Hospital-employed position
Monday–Friday schedule
No nights, weekends, or holidays

Collaborate closely with physicians to provide comprehensive outpatient neurosurgical care.
Perform patient assessments, collect clinical data, and accurately document findings within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Coordinate patient care across the continuum, including diagnostic testing, follow-up appointments, and specialty referrals.
Assist with medication management, prescription renewals, and prior authorizations.
Provide patient education, symptom management, and telephone/MyChart triage.
Review laboratory and diagnostic results and communicate findings appropriately with the care team.
Support clinical operations while ensuring compliance with infection control and quality standards.
Assist with urgent patient situations in collaboration with physicians and clinical leadership.
Serve as a resource for clinical staff and assist with onboarding and mentoring when appropriate.
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an outpatient, surgical, neurosurgical, orthopedic, or specialty practice preferred
Experience with electronic medical records (Epic experience preferred)
