Head of Facility Management

We are currently recruiting highly qualified candidates, whose background and career goals meet our needs, for the following position in our Huntsville, AL facility. Please note that due to our Department of Defense contract requirements, U.Facilities Manager
The Facilities Manager provides leadership to a group responsible for the maintenance of company facilities. This person will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a facility maintenance management system for all facility equipment.

Maintaining building systems.

Managing day-to-day building operations and maintenance staff.

Serving as prime interface with external contractors for services as required (work plans, purchase requisitions, invoicing).

Preparing scope of work and tender packages when required for subcontractor work.

Developing overall budget for facility operations and maintenance.

Assisting in development of operational procedures for fire alarm monitoring and control system and building access control system.

Interfacing with production line management for new equipment construction and renovations within the lab areas.

Establishing and maintaining administrative privileges for operation and programming of the building automated control system.

Ensuring facility “help line” is established and functional, and all requests are handled in a timely and efficient manner.

Assessing sites and locations for potential relocation, and coordinating and conducting site tours for existing location.

Works with employees to plan, assign, and monitor individual objectives of unit members, based on overall group objectives and priorities.

Responsible for providing timely and useful feedback to staff members on their performance and development plan.

Applying seasoned facilities operations knowledge and coaching skills to lead the team in establishing, maintaining, and enhancing a high quality of facility maintenance.

Degree in Facilities Management or related field or years of experience in lieu of degree.

Minimum of 12 years of Facility Maintenance experience.

Knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation and best practices is required.
