Production Welder- Manufacturing

Welding Team Member To be part of a high performing welding team, welding high volume production and prototype metal stampings, ensuring high quality welds that are in line with print specifications.

Ensure that all welds meet the high expectations of the customer

Responsible for the proper packaging, identifying and moving of all finished products to the proper location.

Ability to utilize standard inspection tools to verify parts meet print specifications

Welding a variety of raw materials using the proper weld settings in order to minimize distortion, overheating, expansion, etc.

Maintaining and setting up necessary welding tools.

Examining sub-component parts and finished assemblies to blueprints using standard quality tools.

Operating other equipment as necessary and directed by the manufacturing supervisor (grinding, sanding, etc.).

May operate a fork lift periodically, as needed, following training.

MIG welding

Will be required to cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.

Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. continual improvements.

Ability to perform additional related assignments and work overtime as needed.

Organize and maintain efficiency of personal work area.

Consistently adhere to and support company policies and procedures, including ISO14001, IATF16949, and safety regulations.

Knowledge of all applicable document control processes.

Employees also may be subject to certain environments such as working near loud moving mechanical parts. Manufacturing shop floor

GED or High School Diploma

Welding certifications preferred

Basic computer and ERP system experience

Speak effectively with fellow employees or customers.

Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.

Organized and able to meet production deadlines while performing multiple activities.
