Warehouse DriverLocation: Sunnyvale, TX, US, 75182 Type of Employment: Full-time Career Level: Professional Job Family: Customer ServicesThe Warehouse Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials between warehouses, customer locations, and distribution points, while supporting daily warehouse operations. This role ensures timely deliveries, accurate inventory handling, and compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Warehouse Driver assists with loading, unloading, inventory and general warehouse activities to support operational efficiency and delivers exceptional customer service.Primary ResponsibilitiesTransportation & DeliverySafely operate company vehicles to transport goods to and from warehouse, customer job sites, and distribution centersFollow established routes and delivery schedules; adjust routes as needed to improve efficiencyEnsure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and properly documentedLoading, Unloading & Material HandlingLoad and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner, preventing damage or lossSecure cargo in accordance with safety and DOT requirementsOperate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (as certified)Inventory & Warehouse OperationsAssist with receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventoryMaintain accurate records of materials received, delivered, or returnedParticipate in cycle counts and inventory audits as requiredCleanliness & OrganizationKeep floors free of dust, debris, oil, and spills. Maintain clear and labeled storage locations for materials.Do not store goods or equipment in pathways.Customer ServiceCommunicate professionally with customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and order detailsBuild and maintain positive customer relationships through reliable service and responsivenessVehicle Inspection & MaintenancePerform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and complianceMaintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicleReport mechanical issues or safety concerns promptlyDocumentation & ComplianceComplete required logs, delivery confirmations, and regulatory documentation (e.g., DOT logs, proof of delivery)Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state transportation regulationsSafety & ComplianceComply with all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and company safety policiesProperly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety shoes, gloves, high-visibility apparel, and eye protection as required by work conditionsFollow all injury prevention practices and participate in return-to-work programs if applicablePromptly report workplace injuries, incidents, or hazards in accordance with company policyParticipate in required safety training programs including hazard communication (HazCom), powered industrial truck (forklift) certification, and safe lifting techniquesReport unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses in accordance with company policyOther DutiesSupport branch operations, including warehouse support as neededPerform additional duties as assigned to support business needCore CompetenciesCustomer Focus – Committed to delivering high-quality service and support to Yunex Traffic customers.Team Collaboration – Works effectively with colleagues, contractors, and local agencies to achieve project goals.Attention to Detail – Ensures accuracy in maintaining supply inventory and maintaining the warehouse cleanliness and organization.The following functions are considered essential to the performance of this role:Safely operate delivery vehiclesLoad, unload, and transport materialsPerform warehouse inventory and organization dutiesMaintain compliance with safety and regulatory standardsMinimum QualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 3 years' experience in a warehouse, delivery, or transportation role is highly preferredExperience working in a logistics, distribution, or transportation environment is highly desirableLicensing & CertificationsValid driver's license with satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requiredClass A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, depending on vehicle typeForklift certification required or ability to obtain certificationSkills & CompetenciesStrong attention to detail in filling orders and documentationSolid understanding of safety procedures and transportation regulationsEffective communication and customer service skillsAbility to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work independentlyPhysical RequirementsAbility to sit for extended periods of time, while operating a vehicleFrequently bend, stoop, and kneelOccasionally climb ladders or work at heights above 15 feetMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds of tools, equipment, and materials as part of loading and unloading supplies and maintaining the warehouseRequires manual dexterity for handling small componentsFrequent walking, sitting, standing, and driving for extended periods; occasional riding as a passenger to job sites.
