Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit with a night shift nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
Monitor and manage patients on cardiac drips and interpret EKG readings
Float to other units as assigned based on departmental needs
Participate in on-call rotation and provide every-other-weekend coverage
Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, expected to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's)
In the event of an emergency, report as assigned by unit management, which may include remaining at the facility until the event passes or serving on a relief team
Required Qualifications
Active Compact or Louisiana RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal
BLS certification required (AHA)
NIH Stroke Scale certification required
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry and/or Med-Surg experience
Proficiency with Epic EMR
NURSYS report must be submitted with profile and current within 4 weeks of submission date
Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on driver's license to the facility) to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification preferred
Experience with cardiac drip management and continuous telemetry monitoring
Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are accepted)
