Registered Nurse RN Surgery Weekends

Surgical Telemetry – Cardiac Tele
Schedule: Every other weekend required.
Requirements:

Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
Telemetry experience required (2-3 years surgical cardiac/telemetry experience).
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
Required clinical experience: open-heart surgery care, vascular groin/radial band management, strong IV skills.
Familiarity with vasoactive/cardiac drips and common cardiac medications preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities:

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings for dysrhythmias.
Provide post-operative care for open-heart surgery patients and manage vascular procedures.
Administer IV medications and blood products as needed.
Perform critical care tasks such as cardioversion/defibrillation and epicardial pacer management.
Conduct chest tube and tracheostomy care, as well as non-invasive ventilation support.

Pre-start modules: typically ~16 hours (completed pre-start; non-billable).
References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required.
