The posted compensation range of $43.10 - $64.11 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Staff Nurse
As a Float Clinic Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a central figure in our patient care team, delivering exceptional, compassionate care that truly makes a difference in our patients' lives. Every day you will collaborate on comprehensive screenings, conduct critical risk assessments, provide vital preventative health education, and expertly coordinate care for diverse patient populations, leveraging technology to streamline processes. To be successful in this role, you will combine robust clinical knowledge and technological proficiency with genuine compassion, strong communication skills, and an adaptable approach to learning and patient-centered care.
Delivers professional nursing care to clinic patients; performs diagnostic testing and related clinical procedures to appropriate level of training/scope of licensure and established procedures; independently triages nursing situations in accordance with standing orders/protocols; addresses more complex, urgent or emergent situations escalated from other clinic staff.
Performs a variety of patient assessment/care tests (e.g. EKG, Spirometry, vision/hearing screening, peak flow, color blindness, etc.) Makes independent wound assessments and performs complex wound care and dressing changes, including placement or changing of wound vac); Instructs patients in the collection of samples and other tests; Informs patients of lab results, calls in prescriptions to pharmacies and returns practitioners' phone messages.
Answers questions and provides health care education and guidance to patients and/or families; Provides direct assistance to provider in complex nursing care situations.
tracks and logs medication usage per established policies; inventories counts of controlled substances. administers IV fluids/medications, including antineoplastic agents, investigational drugs and/or blood products, in accordance with physician orders; performs installation of fluids or medications into bladder via catheter. Assists with point of care testing (CLIA-Waived Tests only)/lab tests following established protocols/instructions.
Obtains samples for point of care tests including swabs and urine/stool; performs venipuncture to obtain venous blood samples.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, upon hire and

One year RN work experience in a clinic setting or
two years of acute care RN work experience
