Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med/Surg 8 Unit
Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) on the Med/Surg 8 Unit at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center – West Bank Campus in Minneapolis, MN.
The Med/Surg RN will provide care to medical surgical adult patients with medical conditions that require close observation, monitoring, and interventions. We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis.
The shift length will be 8 hours on the Evening shift with an every other weekend rotation (F,S,S) and a holiday rotation.
This includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more! Our unit is comprised of 24 Beds.
Care Delivery: 4-5 patient assignment. 5-6 patient assignment on Night Shift.
Our team is prepared to work with a variety of adult patient diagnoses including: Sepsis, Overdoses/Withdrawals, Surgical Procedures, Telemetry, Diabetes, Pneumonia, Altered Mental Status (AMS) and more!

The RN is responsible and accountable for patient assessment, analysis, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention application, and the identification and evaluation of outcomes for patients of all ages and populations. The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act:

Maintaining confidentiality in matters related to patient, family, and facility.
Establishing and implementing nursing care plans for assigned patient populations through assessment, development, activation, evaluation, and discharge.
Conducting ongoing assessments as determined by patient's condition and/or the hospital policies, procedures or protocols and reprioritizes care accordingly.
Demonstrating the ability to deliver care or service by adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Collaborating with patients, families, and health care team members.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN)
Valid RN License from MN Board of Nursing
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
