Pharmacist - Pharmacy - Evening

An opportunity is available for a skilled pharmacist to support pharmacy operations within a healthcare setting in the Portland, OR area. This contract position begins as soon as possible and offers a commitment of approximately 13 weeks with variable afternoon shifts. The role focuses on delivering quality pharmaceutical care and effective medication management.

Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications in accordance with prescriptions and established protocols
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize pharmacy automation systems including Cerner and Pyxis to manage medication distribution
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Provide patient counseling and education as needed
Qualifications:
Valid Oregon Pharmacist License is required
Proven experience in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
Proficiency with Cerner and Pyxis systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Ability to work variable afternoon shifts
