Education/Experience
Minimum Required:

Graduate of Accredited school of nursing

Preferred:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing

License/Certification
Minimum Required:

Current New York State Registered Nurse

CPR within 3 months of hire

ACLS within 3 months of hire

Preferred:

Professional Certification

Work Environment

The Float Nurse will work in multiple care areas/ units across the UHS Hospitals care areas.

Work is performed in an office environment and patient care areas which require working in proximity to other employees and patients. Rooms are air conditioned and heated.

Frequent walking, standing, bending and lifting.

Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.

Exposure to equipment cleaning solutions and disinfectants.

PPE (Eyewear, Masks, Face shields, Shoe covers, and Gloves) as required by UHS Hospitals Infection Control policies.

Age of Patients Served

Early Adult: 18 ‑ 45 Years

Mid‑Adult: 46 ‑ 59 Years

Late Adult: 60 ‑ 79 Years

Elderly: 80+ Years

HIPAA Roles‑Based Access to Patient Information
Level 3: Clinical ‑ Access to non‑restricted patient information.
