Job Overview A law firm seeks a pre-litigation attorney to serve as a Pre-Suit Attorney in their growing Chicago, IL office. The role involves managing pre-litigation work, guiding clients through the case process, and overseeing settlement negotiations.
Duties Handle all pre-litigation work daily
Guide clients through the case process
Draft and file pre-litigation documents
Oversee settlement negotiations and demand packages
Manage the release approval process
Lead a team of 6-10 Case Managers
Focus on personal injury cases, primarily general liability
Drive compliance and KPIs among the team
Requirements Law degree from a fully accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the IL State Bar Association
1+ years of personal injury experience
Ability to manage a high volume of pre-lit cases
Excellent client service and communication skills
Strong leadership skills
Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
Superior writing and oral advocacy skills
Desire to become part of a trial team
Education Law degree from an accredited institution
Certifications Active membership with the IL State Bar Association
