Transport Respiratory Therapist Respiratory Care Nights

Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift - 3x12.0 Schedule
This is a 13-week contract position.
The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care by delivering intensive respiratory care and facilitating patient transport as medically prescribed, within the scope of their professional license and with minimal supervision. The therapist evaluates patients and recommends treatment plans, explaining the purpose and procedures of treatments, tests, and equipment to the patients, along with necessary education for discharge to home.
Responsibilities:

Conduct physician prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, oxygen devices, and nebulizers.
Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.
Suction patients using oropharyngeal, nasal, and tracheal methods.
Monitor oximetry and capnography as per policy.
Review patients' chest x-rays and determine need for further evaluation.
Perform 12-Lead EKG and basic arrhythmia recognition.
Assist with respiratory care procedures such as Bronchoscopy, Chest Tube placement, and more.
Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation according to BLS and ACLS guidelines.
Record pertinent information on respiratory care records and patient charts.
Maintain accurate respiratory therapy charging, including data entry and verification.
Communicate with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding therapy efficiency.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

Current Respiratory Therapist license.
Certification in BLS and ACLS.
Experience with ventilatory equipment and respiratory care procedures.
