First American is looking to add a Title Assistant to our growing team. First American sets the standard for excellence in the commercial real estate space. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting supporting a Title team in a wide range of duties including creating and maintaining title files and documenting and recording all research. This position administratively supports timely escrow closings and title recordings for new build transactions.What You'll Do:Support the closing process of builder real estate transactions by assisting with administering escrow accounts, making deposits, issuing checks, building, and disbursing wires, preparing invoices, routing title comments and underwriting requests, ordering title and tax updates, assembling and calculating pricing information, recording fees and transfer tax informationSearch, examine, and interpret commercial real estate documentsAudit calculations and legal documents for accuracyCommunicate recording information and prepare legal property documents such as endorsements and supplementalsConduct title research to compile chain of titleCreate title files and prepare endorsements and supplemental documentsWhat You'll Bring:Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitudeExcellent verbal and written communication with both our internal team and external customersProblem solver who has strong organizational skills, is detail oriented, with an eagerness to learnNatural curiosity, enjoys researching the history and background of transactionsThrives in contributing to a team where we come together to deliver beyond customer expectationsKnowledge of MS Office suite and ability to quickly adapt to new software applications and technologiesHigh school diploma or equivalent2+ years of title related experience preferredPay Range: $20.31 - $27.09 HourlyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
