Barback-The Hotel Bar

Provides excellent customer service which includes but not limited to stocking bars, stations, coolers and garnish preparations. and bar storage rooms and keeping a clean, orderly, and well-stocked bar.

Maintains appropriate levels of inventory and supplies by replenishing bar supplies.
Maintain the appearance of the bar and lounge areas by cleaning and resetting bars and related areas, stocking and removing glassware and related supplies such as ice, napkins and straws.
Washes all glasses, utensils, and related preparation/serving items by following approved sanitation and safety guidelines.
Follows all standard food handling, sanitation, TIPS and health department guidelines.
Must be flexible in schedule, including evening, weekend and holidays.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty as business demands.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior bar related experience desired but not required. Knowledge of food, wine & liquor service preferred.
Complete the South Carolina state-approved ServSafe Alcohol Online Course & Exam within 30 days of hire
Possess a valid ABL Server License issued by the state of South Carolina within 30 days of hire

Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F).

• Must be able to lift trays of food, food items, bags, cases weighing up to 30 lbs. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
• Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
