Handel Architects is an award-winning, full-service Architecture, Planning, and Interior Design firm with offices in San Francisco, New York, Boston, and Hong Kong. We specialize in innovative, sustainability-driven solutions that shape vibrant communities worldwide. Our San Francisco office specializes in complex mixed-use and multi-family residential projects, from boutique urban infill to large-scale high-rise developments.
We're a collaborative team of passionate Architects and Designers who thrive in an open studio environment. We share ideas, support each other, and design spaces that positively impact lives. We operate on a hybrid schedule: in-office Monday-Thursday, with optional remote work on Fridays.
Our San Francisco studio is seeking a Designer with 5-7 years of experience to join our design-driven team.
We're looking for a sharp, passionate Architect who thrives in collaborative environments, brings strong problem-solving skills, and takes pride in producing clear client presentations and accurate construction documents. You'll partner closely with Senior Project Architects and design teams on multiple, concurrent projects across all phases. This is a great opportunity for a motivated Architect looking to grow professionally, contribute to meaningful projects, and take ownership in a supportive, collaborative environment.
5-7 years of professional architectural experience across all project phases, from feasibility and entitlement through construction
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Licensed Architect preferred
- Experience with medium- to large-scale multifamily residential projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of zoning, planning, and building codes
- Proficiency in Revit required
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools, including Rhino, SketchUp, V-Ray, and Grasshopper; Demonstrated experience coordinating consultant teams and leading project meetings
- Proficiency in producing comprehensive construction document sets
