We are looking for a motivated and versatile Technical Writer/Editor to join our team. This entry-level role is for someone with up to three years of experience who is passionate about clear communication, multimedia editing, and instructional design. You will work closely with subject matter experts to edit and maintain high-quality documentation and training materials that support our products, services, and internal processes.In this dynamic role, you will work across multiple platforms to refine written content, edit learning videos, and publish knowledge base articles that empower our internal and external audiences. You will also manage documentation workflows and help ensure our training materials are accurate, engaging, and easy to use. Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Instructional Design, or a related field0–3 years of experience in technical writing, editing, or multimedia content developmentStrong written communication skills and attention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with authors and subject matter experts to clarify and refine contentUnderstanding of content lifecycle management, version control, and archiving best practicesExperience working with or willingness to learn XWiki markup and platform conventionsFamiliarity with video editing tools such as Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or similarExperience posting and managing content on Skilljar or other learning management systems (LMS)Basic graphic editing skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)Exposure to AI-based audio editing tools (Descript, Adobe Podcast, or similar)Familiarity with creating SharePoint sites and organizing content for internal documentationExperience with chatbot prompting, as well as editing and verifying chatbot-generated answers for accuracy and toneExpertise in applying the Chicago Manual of Style and APA formatting rules to various document typesEagerness to learn new tools, platforms, and technologiesThis position is not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.Travel Time:No TravelPhysical Attributes:Feeling, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:80% sitting, 10% standing, 10% waking,Microchip Technology Inc is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
